First Time at Campit?
Good. That's how most people start.

You don’t need to know what you’re doing. You don’t need the right outfit. You don’t need to fit in, you already do.
- No plan required
- No experience needed
- No version of you that fits “better”
Just book and show up with clothes for warm and cool temps, a bathing suit, sunscreen, bug spray, bedding & towels and something (or someone) to cuddle.
Everything else will happen after you arrive, with a little help from your friends at Campit.
What You Should Actually Know
You could read everything. Or you could just come and figure it out. But if you want a little heads up, here’s the real version.
You Don’t Have to Be Anything Here
There’s no version of you that fits “better.” You can be:
- Social or shy
- Quiet or gregarious
- An expert homo or someone just figuring things out
No one’s judging. You’ll settle in faster than you expect.
How You Stay Changes the Feel
Pack Like a Human, Not a Checklist
You don’t need to overthink this. Bring:
- Something to swim in
- Clothes for warm and cool temps
- Sunscreen & bug spray
- Bedding & towels
- Something fun or festive for the events
If you forget something, you’ll be fine. Civilization is nearby.
The Biggest Thing — Just Be Open
This is where people get caught off guard, in a good way.
- You’ll talk to someone you didn’t expect to
- You’ll feel more comfortable than you thought you would
- You might not want to leave when it’s over
That’s normal.
The Stuff People Wonder
(But Don't Always Ask)
Can I come alone?
Definitely. Fully half of people do.
But alone won’t be lonely here, unless you want it to be.
Is it mostly groups or couples?
- Groups. Couples. Singles.
- Regulars and first-timers.
- Young adults, adults, and people young in spirit.
- Men, women, and people of all gender expressions.
- People of all colors and ethnicities.
Is this only for one type of person?
No. This isn’t a stereotype-heavy space.
It’s a mix of people who don’t really fit into one category. And it works.
Is it more party or more nature?
It’s more social than one-on-one with nature. You can:
- Wander in the woods
- Hang at the pool
- Go out at night
- Skip all of that
You decide how far into it you go.
I've never been to something like this before…
Most people haven’t. And most people say the same thing after:
"I wish I'd come sooner."
You Don't Need to Overthink It
Your first visit doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to happen.
🌊
Sitting by the pool longer than planned
🌲
Walking through the trees at night
✨
Meeting people without trying
☀️
Waking up and actually feeling relaxed
That’s the thing. You don’t really know what your first Campit weekend is going to be, until you’re in it.
