Camping
Tenting is very popular at Campit. Campit offers a variety of tent camping options in four distinct tenting areas. Following is a description of each area.
The “Old Horseshoe” is Campit’s original and still most social tenting area. Its circular driveway provides easy access for setting up your campsite. (Note that onsite parking may be restricted on busy weekends.) All sites in the “Old Horseshoe” are equipped with electric service. $6/night is added the price of each site for the electric fee.
The “New Horseshoe” is Campit’s largest tenting area and offers sites for more private camping in a rustic wooded setting. Eight tent sites in the “New Horseshoe” are now equipped with electric service for an additional charge of $6/day.
“Creekside” tenting area offers sites in a natural wooded setting without electric service available. As such, it tends to be the quietest tenting area
“Westwood” offers a large wooded tenting area with adjacent parking lot. Electric service is available on some sites. Westwood is not open all weekends but can be requested by ClubCampit Members.
“Wisconsin” is a very rustic and private, hike-in tenting area and offers camping and private sunbathing options.
- Maximum of 4 persons and 2 tents on a tent site.
- Well behaved pets are welcome in the tenting areas.
RV Sites
Campit offers a variety of RV Sites in Central Park, the East Village and Westwood. Central Park RV sites offer 30amp power connections and on site water for filling holding tanks. Waste water disposal is at our dump station or you can order Honey Wagon service at an additional cost. East Village RV sites offer full water and sewer hookups and 50 amp power. Westwood Super Sites offers pull-through RV sites with full water and sewer hookups and 50 amp power.
Campit’s Sleeper Cabins are cute one room log cabins for those who want to “camp” with real bed and a roof over your head. All are equipped with a queen bed, air conditioning/heat, a ceiling fan, mini-fridge and a porch. Sleeper Cabins are comfortable for 1 or 2 people and because you bring your own bedding, all Sleeper Cabins are pet friendly.
Super Sleeper Cabins are one room cabins that include a private bath and shower. They also offer a large deck and a campfire ring with grill.
Standard Sleeper cabins are one room log cabins without plumbing so visitors use one of Campit 3 modern bath houses.
Our Double Sleeper Cabin is a one room cabin without plumbing and has the option of either one king bed or two twin beds.
We also offer Super Sleeper Cabins which are one room log cabins with a private bathroom and shower. Super Sleeper Cabins also offer a longer porch, and campfire ring with grill racks.
Well behaved pets are welcome in the Sleeper Cabins. Please refer to the PET POLICY.
Campit’s Resort Cabins are fully furnished one bedroom cabins with a full private bath, full kitchen, living room and large furnished screen porch.
Located on the Campit grounds just 10 minutes from Saugatuck. The Campit Bunkhouse features five bedrooms, three with private baths, a fireplace, and small kitchen with microwave and refrigerator.
Sorry, no pets are allowed in the Bunkhouse for the comfort of our members with allergies.

Campit’s collection of vintage 50’s, 60’s and 70’s travel trailer rentals provide a retro camping experience and come with a roof over your head, a bed and electric lights, comfortable 1 or 2 people. Well behaved pets are welcome in the Rental Trailers. Like some of us, they are old but still think of themselves as cute.
